Cancellation Policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy applies to bookings made through rainbowmountainfullday.com for the Rainbow Mountain hiking and ATV tours.

1. Requesting a Change or Cancellation

If your plans change after booking, message us on WhatsApp as early as possible with your booking details. Requests are reviewed individually depending on how close the request is to your tour date.

• Cancellations made 30 days or more before the tour: 70% refundable, regardless of how far in advance — one month, two months or more, the rate is always the same; this amount is subject to administrative fees.
• Cancellations made less than 72 hours before the tour: 50% partial refund.
• Cancellations made less than 48 hours before the tour: 30% partial refund.
• Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the tour: non-refundable — the full reservation deposit is forfeited.

2. Date Changes

We are generally able to accommodate a date change if you contact us with reasonable notice before your original tour date and space is available on the new date.

3. Weather, Access and Force Majeure

In the rare event that a tour must be cancelled due to circumstances beyond our control — extreme weather, snow closing the trail, road closures, regional strikes, or a community decision affecting access to the mountain — we will offer you the choice of rescheduling to another available date or a refund.

4. Altitude and Turning Back on the Day

If you begin the tour and decide, or are advised, not to continue to the viewpoint because of the altitude, the tour is considered operated and no refund applies. Your health always comes first: the vehicle waits, the guide carries oxygen, and turning back is a normal outcome rather than a failure. We recommend acclimatising for at least two days before booking.

5. Group and Private Tour Bookings

Group bookings of four or more travellers, and private tours, are handled case by case. Please contact us directly for the specific terms that apply to your booking.

6. No-Shows

If you do not appear at the agreed pickup time or location without prior notice, the booking is treated as a no-show and is generally non-refundable.

7. Entrance Tickets Purchased in Advance

Where the Vinicunca entrance ticket was added to your booking, any refund of that amount is subject to the rules of the community that issues it, which may differ from the tour refund percentages above.

8. How Refunds Are Processed

All approved refunds are processed through the same platform used for your original payment, WeTravel, and returned to your original payment method. Processing times can vary depending on your bank or card issuer.
