Hour by hour on the quad route: four departures, the ride from Kayrahuire Alto and a 3 to 5 minute walk to the Vinicunca viewpoint.
The ATV itinerary follows the same road as the hiking tours as far as Cusipata, then turns towards Kayrahuire Alto at 4,450m instead of the Phulawasipata trailhead. There you receive riding instructions, practise on the quad, and set off on a ride of 50 minutes to an hour there and back, at a controlled speed, with the Ausangate glacier at 6,384m on the horizon. Near the mountain the quads are parked and a short 3 to 5 minute walk brings you to the main viewpoint, with about 40 minutes there. Lunch is in Cusipata on the way back.

💡 Note: the earlier departures reach the mountain in better light and with fewer people. The 08:30 is the choice if you would rather not leave in the middle of the night.
Both cost the same. If you have never ridden before, take the automatic and use the practice time.
This is a scenic ride, not a race. The guides set the pace and the group stays together.
You arrive without the climb, but the viewpoint is still at high altitude — walk slowly once you are off the quad.
